Our journey

from small business to community nonprofit

For the past nine years, our partner company Managing Moves & More has worked with individuals and families all over the San Francisco Bay Area, typically seniors, who are downsizing and moving to a smaller space. We at MM&M (and our clients) were dismayed to find that when downsizing small kitchen appliances, dishes, and bedding, our options were limited to donation for resale or even disposal. At the same time, many of our low-income community members lack these household essentials, and we realized we could help bridge the gap. We started House2Home Connection in 2017 to help MM&M clients find a deserving home for the items they can't take with them.

Cindy Hofen


Cindy started Managing Moves & More in 2009, and has helped over 1,500 individuals and families with their moves. She has been a resident of Mountain View for 24 years and is frequently asked to speak throughout the Bay Area on the topic of downsizing and relocation.

Cyndi Jenkel


Cyndi has been with MM&M since 2010 and has been key to the growth of the company. She is a long time Mountain View resident and loves working with older adults. She has applied her background in social work to helping seniors through what can be a difficult time of transition.
